Following the rainy weather that has been effective in Istanbul, there has been an increase in the water levels of the dams.
According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), while the average occupancy rate of the dams in the mega-city was 39.62 percent yesterday, it has reached 40.23 percent according to today's data.
Across the country, drought and precipitation below seasonal norms last year had affected the occupancy rates of the dams supporting Istanbul.
The highest water amount in the dams was recorded at the Istrancalar Dam with 98.41 percent, while the lowest water amount was recorded at the Alibey Dam with 23.91 percent.
