The series High Potential tells the story of Morgan, who finds herself solving murders while working as a cleaner at a police station. Actually very intelligent but unable to see her potential due to her disorganized life, Morgan messes things up one night while cleaning at the police station. While fixing the mess she made, she notices a mistake on the murder investigation board and corrects that information.

Homicide detectives watch the security camera footage, see that it was Morgan who changed what they had written, and bring her in for questioning. After providing details about the crime scene, Morgan convinces the police. She then finds herself as a consultant helping the homicide division.
