Michelin announced its selection featuring the best of the dining culture in Istanbul, Izmir, and Mugla at the 2025 Michelin guide ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bosphorus in Istanbul. All restaurant chefs included in the 2025 selection for Istanbul, Izmir, and Mugla were invited to the ceremony.

MICHELIN STAR

The Michelin Star is known as a prestigious award given to restaurants that offer exceptional cuisine. Restaurants wishing to earn a star must pay attention to five basic criteria: the quality of the ingredients, the harmony of flavors, mastery of cooking techniques, the reflection of the chef's personality in the dining experience, and consistency between inspectors' visits.

WHICH RESTAURANTS EARNED A MICHELIN STAR?

A Michelin Star is awarded to restaurants that use very high-quality ingredients and prepare dishes to a high standard and with a certain consistency. The restaurants that received one star are as follows:

Casa Lavanda – Istanbul – Chef Emre Şen

Narımor – Izmir – Chef Atilla Heilbronn

All restaurants that received a Michelin Star last year maintained their stars this year as well.

THE ONLY RESTAURANT WITH TWO MICHELIN STARS

Two Michelin Stars are awarded when the chef's character and talent are reflected in the dishes. This year, 'Turk Fatih Tutak' was included in the Michelin Guide with two Michelin Stars.
