With the published regulation, changes were made to many criteria such as vehicle specifications and usage years for the sale of vehicles without SCT to disabled individuals. The change regarding the purchase of vehicles without SCT, which concerns millions of vehicle owners, has passed through Parliament and become law. The automobiles that will be sold without SCT in Turkey have been determined. So, which vehicles can disabled individuals purchase without SCT? Here is the list of vehicles for sale with SCT exemption:

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING A VEHICLE WITHOUT SCT?

With the amendment made to the Special Consumption Tax Law, disabled individuals will be able to change their vehicles every 10 years instead of 5 years. The new vehicle cannot be sold for 10 years. A 20 percent domestic production rate will be required for vehicles purchased by disabled individuals without SCT.

WHICH DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WILL BE EXEMPT FROM SCT?

The SCT exemption will not be applied in the same way for all disabled individuals within the scope of the regulation. For those with a disability rate between 40 and 89 percent, a 26.3 percent SCT discount and a 15.24 percent VAT discount will be applied. For those with a disability rate of 90 percent or higher, these payments will be completely exempt.

One of the spouses or children of a martyr, or if there is no spouse or child, one of the parents, can benefit from the SCT-exempt vehicle sale on a one-time basis.

WHAT IS THE UPPER LIMIT FOR DISABLED VEHICLE PRICES?

Following the determination of the 2025 revaluation rate, the upper limit applied to vehicle purchases for disabled citizens has also been announced. The upper limit for SCT exemption, which was 1 million 561 thousand 255 TL in 2024, will be applied as 2 million 247 thousand 114 TL with a 43.93 percent increase as of January 1, 2025.
