In 2015, he purchased a 51% stake in Sasa Polyester A.Ş., one of the world's leading producers of polyester fiber, filament, and polyester-based polymers, from Sabancı Holding. Following a mandatory tender offer, Erdemoğlu Holding's stake in Sasa Polyester A.Ş. rose to 84.80% as of August 2015.

Married and a father of three, İbrahim Erdemoğlu has carried out various social responsibility projects for the cities where he was born and raised and to which he is deeply attached, as well as for their people.
