Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal for Turkey in the 10m air pistol event at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, has become a global icon. The pose of Yusuf Dikeç, which has turned into a viral trend, has attracted attention all over the world.

Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis broke the world record in pole vault and celebrated his gold medal by mimicking the iconic, hands-in-pockets shooting pose of Turkish marksman Yusuf Dikeç.

Nina Kennedy, the Australian gold medalist in the women's pole vault at Paris 2024, also performed Dikeç's popular pose. As Kennedy reached for the gold medal with a jump of 4.90 meters, her celebration was the Dikeç pose.

In the men's discus throw, Jamaican athlete Roje Stona won the gold medal by setting an Olympic record with a distance of 70 meters. The athlete joined those celebrating their success by striking the "Yusuf Dikeç pose."

In the men's 10-kilometer marathon swimming event, Hungarian athlete David Betlehem was among those who struck the "Yusuf Dikeç pose."

İrfan Can Kahveci, who scored a free-kick goal in the 80th minute of Fenerbahçe's first leg match against Lille in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, struck the "Yusuf Dikeç pose" while celebrating with his teammates.

Dikeç, who has been imitated by many celebrities and whose image has been printed on T-shirts and drawn in coffee shops, has filed a registration application with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office for his iconic pose.

Markiz Patent, which filed the trademark registration application for Yusuf Dikeç, stated, "An application by someone we believe is not acting in good faith prompted us to take action. Our national athlete is also closely following the registration process."

Pointing out that there are those who want to use the names of famous individuals and companies for commercial gain, the firm stated, "In this new process, they will now have to obtain Yusuf Bey's permission and reach an agreement to use his likeness for any kind of goods and services imaginable. This is a step we have taken to prevent unfair profit," they said.
