Gezi investigation into Ayşe Barım continues: Halit Ergenç's testimony revealed... He explained how he met Barım
The testimonies of Halit Ergenç and Rıza Kocaoğlu, who gave statements as witnesses within the scope of the Gezi investigation conducted into talent manager Ayşe Barım, have drawn attention. The actors explained how they met Barım.
New details have emerged in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Emine Ayşe Barım, the founder and partner of ID Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi.
Following the testimonies of actors Halit Ergenç and Rıza Kocaoğlu, who were heard as witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation into the Gezi Park protests, a new investigation was launched against them on allegations of "perjury."
HALİT ERGENÇ'S TESTIMONY REVEALED
According to a report in Habertürk, Halit Ergenç stated in his testimony that he began working with Ayşe Barım in the early 2000s and that their professional relationship continues to this day.
When asked about his relationship with Mehmet Ali Alabora, Ergenç said, "I know him from the conservatory; I have no personal closeness with him." Furthermore, he denied allegations that Barım had encouraged him to participate in the events during the Gezi process.
Regarding questions about his acquaintance with Osman Kavala and Çiğdem Mater, Ergenç stated that he only knows them from the public sphere and said he does not know whether Barım has any connection with these individuals.
RIZA KOCAOĞLU: I MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS
Actor Rıza Kocaoğlu also stated in his testimony that he has known Ayşe Barım as his manager for 17 years. Stating that he does not remember the content of his phone conversations with Barım during the Gezi Park period, Kocaoğlu emphasized that his decision to go to Gezi Park was his own.
Kocaoğlu further stated that he did not organize anything regarding the Gezi events with the ID İletişim agency and that his conversations with Barım were generally for business purposes.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE: THERE ARE CONTRADICTIONS IN THE TESTIMONIES
The prosecutor's office stated that contradictions were detected in the testimonies of Ergenç and Kocaoğlu, and that the information they provided, particularly regarding their relationships with Mehmet Ali Alabora, did not match certain evidence. The details of the investigation continue to be examined by the prosecutor's office.
