President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to attend the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.

Erdoğan was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by the Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud.

ASSAD ALSO ARRIVED IN RIYADH TO ATTEND THE SUMMIT

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Riyadh to attend the summit. A notable moment occurred there.

President Erdoğan and Assad, who have not been seen together for a long time, were seen in the same frame after years.

In the family photo, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, stood to Erdoğan's left, while the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, stood to his right.

WILL THERE BE A MEETING?

While it is a matter of curiosity whether there will be any meeting between the two, no official statement has been made on the subject so far.

On the other hand, accompanying Erdoğan to Saudi Arabia were Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and National Intelligence Organization (MİT) Chief İbrahim Kalın.
