Reason for newborn gang's threat against prosecutor revealed! They made the threat for that person

The testimonies of the parking lot attendant brothers, whom Mustafa Kemal Zengin—who threatened Public Prosecutor Engin Yavuz in his office while leading the newborn gang investigation—accused by saying "These are dangerous people, they were going to kill the prosecutor," have been revealed.

Yavuz Çelik and Baki Çelik, whom the prosecutor had arrested along with 5 others following the threat, targeted Zengin in their statements.

It has emerged that Mustafa Kemal Zengin, who introduced himself as a former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and issued death threats to the prosecutor in his office alongside lawyer Aylin Arslantatar, had also accused the detained suspects Baki Çelik and Yavuz Çelik—whom he had introduced as "the people who carried out the Pope assassination" and later claimed, "They are very powerful on the street, they were going to kill the prosecutor, I wanted to warn you"—of being the ones behind the threat.

In his testimony, Yavuz Çelik stated that he had spoken with Mustafa Kemal Zengin to secure the release of Tuğçe Toptemel, his stepdaughter, and said, "We raised Tuğçe with her mother, and she became a nurse. About two years before she was arrested, Tuğçe started working as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Private Birinci Hospital in the Beylikdüzü district. About 2-3 months ago, I don't remember the exact date, she was detained and arrested during operations related to healthcare institutions, the details of which I do not know."

He continued, "Later, when we met with Mustafa Kemal Zengin, I mentioned my daughter's detention. He said to me, 'How many years have we known each other? I want to help, give me Tuğçe's information and file number.' I gave them to him. From his words, I thought he would research it through his lawyer circle. He said, 'I will let you know.' About 10-15 days after this meeting, Mustafa Kemal Zengin came to the parking lot and we sat down. He told us that he had researched our daughter Tuğçe's file, that her additional statement would be taken soon, and that she could be released. However, he did not say from whom or how he received this information."

WHY DID HE THREATEN THE PROSECUTOR?

In his statement, Çelik said, "I called Tuğçe's lawyer and boyfriend, Mustafa G., and explained the situation. He told me that he couldn't make sense of it because to give an additional statement, one would have to become a confessor, and that Tuğçe was already the most innocent person in this file and there was no situation requiring an additional statement. He got into his car and left the parking lot."

Baki Çelik, in his testimony, stated, "About 2.5 months ago, Mustafa Kemal Zengin told my brother Yavuz Çelik and me that he had retired judge and prosecutor acquaintances, that they were practicing law, that business was going well, and that he could give them the file of Tuğçe Toptemel, who was in police custody.

However, I did not accept this offer; I said that since Tuğçe Toptemel's boyfriend is a lawyer, he was following the file himself. I do not know who the prosecutor is, and we never talked about the prosecutor with Mustafa Kemal Zengin."

Çelik stated that he had never been to the Büyükçekmece Courthouse and that he did not know for what purpose Zengin used his name in the prosecutor's office, adding, "I know very well that a prosecutor cannot be threatened in his office and that no detainee can be released through threats.

Mustafa Kemal Zengin's remarks regarding political party officials, in which he used my name in the Public Prosecutor's office, are completely baseless; I have no membership in any political party."
