Striking allegations have surfaced regarding Uğur Gökdemir, one of the council members who resigned.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz stated in a post on his social media account, "Two CHP members of the Beykoz Municipal Council resigned from their party this morning. One of those who resigned, Uğur Gökdemir, is one of the 10 defendants in the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress case, which was accepted last week. In the indictment, Gökdemir is accused of selling his vote in exchange for 100,000 TL."

A total of 10 defendants are being tried in the case opened regarding the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress. Gökdemir, who is stated to be among the defendants in this case, is mentioned in the indictment for "selling his vote in exchange for a bribe."
