The III. Festolive Edremit Olive Oil Tasting Festival, held in the Edremit district of Balıkesir, was the scene of a remarkable flavor experiment. The olive oil coffee introduced at the festival received interest from visitors.

Senior Agricultural Engineer Murat Küçükçakır stated that they created a different tasting experience by bringing coffee and olive oil together in the same cup. Küçükçakır noted that the combination of two products, each with its own unique tasting culture in the world, has opened up a new flavor field.

"Just as different flavors and aromas in coffee attract people's attention, the same is true for olive oil. We brought coffee together with the olive oil we obtained this year, and a very special flavor emerged. When tried, it both soothes the stomach and leaves a pleasant taste. I recommend everyone to try it."

One of the participants, Yıldırım Baydar, said, "You can both get the smell and taste of the coffee and experience the characteristic sensation that olive oil leaves as it passes through the throat. Although it looks different at first glance, a quite successful flavor has emerged."
