3 more drugs added to the Social Security Institution's reimbursement list

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that 3 more drugs have been added to the Social Security Institution's (SGK) reimbursement list.

In a post on his social media account, Işıkhan announced that new regulations have been implemented within the scope of the "Communiqué on Amendments to the Social Security Institution Health Implementation Communiqué" published in the Official Gazette.

Stating that they continue to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services, Minister Işıkhan announced that the drugs included in the reimbursement coverage are 2 Hemophilia B drugs and one cancer drug. It was noted that one of the drugs is domestically produced.

It was also announced that the amount paid by the SGK for magistral drugs produced in pharmacies has been increased by 40 percent. Işıkhan also stated that the scope of procedures applied in pediatric surgery has been expanded.

Noting that improvements have also been made in bone marrow transplant processes, Işıkhan conveyed that screening processes for finding suitable donors for patients awaiting transplants have been updated, and regulations regarding treatment and drug applications have been made.
