Appointment ordeal in MHRS! Complaints increased by 53 percent

Complaints regarding the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS), which operates under the Ministry of Health, are increasing every day. Patients are unable to get appointments through MHRS and are suffering as a result.

The resolution platform Sikayetvar has released data regarding appointment issues experienced in hospitals.

According to the data, MHRS complaints increased by 53 percent in April compared to the previous month.

While 70 complaints were received in March, this figure rose to 107 in April. The statement noted that the inability to find an appointment is the primary subject of complaints.

The platform shared some of the complaints they received on the subject as follows:

• “When I call 182, I cannot get through. I can never find an appointment through MHRS. Even though we have reached the year 2025, we are still experiencing appointment problems. The system does not work properly, and I feel that human health is not valued enough. It shouldn't be this simple. The grievances people experience are not taken into account. We try to get an appointment by calling for hours and days, and we are victimized. I think they do not hear, see, or choose to ignore our voices."

"IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR MONTHS"

• “For months, I have only been able to create a request on the MHRS and 182 appointment system, but I cannot get an appointment at the ophthalmology clinic in my province and district. Do we absolutely have to go to a private hospital? I wonder what those who don't have money should do."

• “I cannot get an appointment from MHRS. It has been like this for months. I cannot even create a proper request, and I have been having skin problems for a long time. If I go to a private hospital, I will have to pay at least 2 thousand TL, and as a student, there is no way I can afford that."

• For days, I have not been able to find an appointment for cardiovascular surgery or cardiology from the MHRS appointment system in Kocaeli or Yalova. What kind of system is this that forces people to go to private hospitals? I am fed up. There are so many hospitals, but no appointments. Spending 15 thousand TL to go to a private hospital puts a great financial strain on a person. Please, a solution."

"EVEN BEING SICK IS NOW A LUXURY"

• “I have not been able to get an appointment from the endodontics clinic of Balikesir and Bandirma dental hospitals for over a year. I need to see a dentist every 6 months and open a request for endodontics, but unfortunately, I cannot get an appointment. I do not understand the reason for this situation. Even being sick has now become a luxury."

• “I live in Batman. I have a skin condition that I have been treated for before. However, I learned that the doctor who previously treated me has been transferred to Eskisehir City Hospital. For this reason, I want to be examined by him at Eskisehir Hospital. I have been trying to get an appointment for dermatology from Eskisehir City Hospital for exactly 2 months; unfortunately, there is no appointment for the doctor I want. I try to create a request, but I cannot even create a request."

"IT WILL BE A MONTH AND A HALF, I STILL CANNOT GO"

• “I am fed up with the MHRS system. They keep canceling the appointments I managed to get with difficulty for months; it has been 2 months. I am constantly experiencing the same problem. 15 days pass, and they cancel the appointment 3 days before the appointment date. Why, I mean, why is it always the same thing? Will I never be able to get an appointment and have an examination just once?"

• “I had been waiting to get an appointment from the dermatology clinic via MHRS for over a month. Finally, I made an appointment for two weeks later at a clinic I saw as active. However, a few days later, when I checked for control purposes, I noticed that my appointment did not appear in MHRS, and it will be a month and a half, I still cannot go."
