Beware of the 'Yellow Serum' known as 'Atom' among the public! Don't lose your life while trying to boost your immunity!

Family Physician Specialist Dr. Didem Altay Gazi, who made important statements regarding the Yellow Serum, which is preferred especially for upper respiratory tract infections with the onset of winter, stated, "The yellow serum is not administered to every individual. A doctor's examination must be performed beforehand, and if your doctor deems it appropriate, it should be administered in emergency rooms or clinical settings where emergency intervention can be performed."

Known as 'Atom' or a 'cocktail,' this drug mixture is believed to accelerate recovery from upper respiratory tract infections, flu, and colds frequently seen in winter. Thanks to the B vitamins and Vitamin C it contains, it has energy-boosting and immune-strengthening properties. It also alleviates symptoms with painkillers and fever reducers.

In cases of bacterial infection, antibiotics; in cases of nausea or vomiting, anti-nausea medications; to protect the stomach and intestines, stomach protectors; and to prevent allergic reactions, antihistamines can also be added. This drug mixture is administered intravenously with a serum containing balanced electrolytes and is not a curative treatment on its own, but helps symptoms improve rapidly.

The yellow serum is not administered to every patient; a doctor's examination is absolutely necessary beforehand. With a doctor's approval, it should only be administered in emergency rooms or clinical settings capable of emergency intervention. Allergic reactions to the drugs in the serum's content may develop; these reactions can lead to serious consequences ranging from simple symptoms like skin redness and itching to respiratory arrest. For this reason, it should never be administered in home environments or places where emergency intervention cannot be performed.
