Health Minister announces: HPV vaccine to be included in national program in 2025
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu announced that they will launch the HPV vaccination program by the end of 2025. Under the program, the vaccine will be available to children starting from age 13 and to all citizens over the age of 15.
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu stated, "We are meticulously continuing our work on the HPV vaccine. In this context, we plan to launch our relevant vaccination program by the end of 2025."
Making a series of statements during a television program he attended, Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu noted the following:
"We are adding a new one to the steps we have taken by saying 'Preventive Health is Our Priority.' We are meticulously continuing our work on the HPV vaccine. In this context, we plan to launch our relevant vaccination program by the end of 2025. May it be beneficial already. There are two strains of HPV that carry a particular risk of causing cervical cancer. We will launch our vaccination program regarding these by the end of 2025. We will reach a point where we can administer the HPV vaccine to all our children from the age of 13 and to all our citizens over the age of 15."
