Important antibiotic warning from Minister Koca. He listed the mistakes
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca issued a warning regarding the misuse of antibiotics.
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a post on his social media account for the "November 18 European Antibiotic Awareness Day."
Pointing out that if antibiotics are not used consciously, bacteria will develop resistance to the diseases they cause and become ineffective during the treatment process, Koca stated the following:
“These conditions include fatal diseases. It is wrong to use antibiotics to reduce fever, relieve pain, or treat infections caused by viruses.
It should not be forgotten that antibiotics are only effective against bacteria. Antibiotics are taken with a physician's recommendation and a prescription.
To treat an infection in the most effective way and to reduce the risk of resistance emerging, they must be used in the correct dose, in the correct way, and at the time intervals specified in the prescription.
I would like to remind you that unconscious antibiotic use has become a public health problem worldwide today.”
