Metal danger in chicken: Famous brand's products recalled

A major food safety warning has been issued in the US. Hormel Foods Corporation has decided to recall 2.2 million kilograms of chicken products after metal fragments were detected in some of them. This decision was announced by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the US Department of Agriculture.

Experts state that metal fragments in food can lead to choking, internal injuries, and damage to the digestive system. This situation poses serious health risks, especially for children and the elderly.

Hormel Foods announced that five different products distributed across the US are being recalled due to the suspicion that they may contain foreign metal material. The company stated that there have been no reports of illness or injury so far. It was noted that the products were sold only to food service establishments.

The FSIS warned that these products might still be in freezers at some restaurants and institutional kitchens. Authorities emphasized that these products should be destroyed immediately.

International Health Safety Director Dr. Mark Fischer stated that consuming metals found in food is dangerous and can lead to internal injuries or situations requiring surgical intervention.

THE SITUATION IN TURKEY

Although the recall is valid in the US, food safety experts in Turkey are also closely monitoring the situation. Experts point out that some imported food products could enter Turkey through hotel and restaurant chains, and state that caution should be exercised in this regard.
