Osman Müftüoğlu warns! Simple mistakes are wearing us out
Prof. Dr. Osman Müftüoğlu pointed out that factors such as the accelerating pace of modern life, complex relationships, lifestyle changes, increasing stress levels, insomnia, errors in dietary habits, and physical inactivity are exhausting our bodies.
"The problem of fatigue is on its way to becoming an increasingly common health issue," said Prof. Dr. Osman Müftüoğlu. Emphasizing that external factors such as regrets from the past, anxieties created by future uncertainties, war, earthquakes, and economic problems also negatively affect our mental health, Müftüoğlu stated, "We must know that health problems such as chronic diseases, blood pressure, diabetes, weight, and heart rhythm issues can also cause fatigue. However, we must not forget that fatigue may not always stem from simple causes."
Müftüoğlu warned his readers on the following matter: "Although it is not a disease in itself, it can be the first sign of some serious illnesses. Heart, lung, liver, or kidney failure, cancer, or problems with the thyroid or adrenal glands can initially manifest only as fatigue. For this reason, we should take persistent fatigue lasting longer than 2-3 weeks seriously, investigate its causes, and seek solutions."
Finally, Müftüoğlu added the note, "Fatigue does not only stem from diseases, deficiencies, or excesses; simple mistakes in daily life can also wear us out."
