Pending appointment requests on MHRS decreased by 58 percent

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the number of people waiting for appointments via MHRS across Turkey declined from 2 million 490 thousand 559 in December 2024 to 1 million 96 thousand 163 in February 2025.

Since there are individuals with two separate appointment requests in the system, the number of unique individuals waiting for an appointment was 1 million 42 thousand 471. As a result of all the work carried out in a short period, pending appointment requests decreased by 58 percent.

It was stated that 197 thousand 949 of the people who created appointment requests were waiting because they preferred a specific physician, and that if they chose to select other physicians from the same specialty, the appointment requests of these waiting individuals could be met on a specialty basis. Thus, the number of pending appointment requests on a clinical basis fell to 898 thousand 214. This showed that the number of people waiting for appointments via MHRS actually decreased by 64 percent, and that 2 out of 3 appointment requests were met through the work carried out by the ministry.

While same-day appointments can be given for 69 out of 79 specialties registered in the MHRS across all of Turkey, same-day appointments for all specialties can be given in 69 provinces, and same-week appointments for all specialties can be given in 73 provinces.
