Pork found inside: Being recalled from markets
Products are being urgently removed from shelves after pork was detected in falafel sold at Jumbo supermarkets in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The Jumbo supermarket chain has decided to urgently recall its "Lebanese-style falafel" product sold in the Netherlands and Belgium due to the presence of pork.
Additionally, the product contains soy, an allergen not listed on the label, which poses a serious health risk to allergic individuals.
The recalled product is sold under the name "Jumbo Lebanese-style falafel," with the EAN code 8718452868230 and a best-before date of 29-07-2025. Jumbo is asking customers who have purchased this product to return it to any store, and is offering a full refund without the need to present a receipt.
