Scientists reveal: Those who do these things age more slowly
US scientists have identified measures that can delay aging by up to 6 years. Among the precautions that can slow the body's biological aging rate are healthy sleep and regular exercise.
Scientists examined data from over 6,500 people with an average age of 47 to determine the measures that delay aging.
The findings of the research were presented at the American Heart Association's (AHA) scientific conference held in Philadelphia.
Researchers determined that people with excellent cardiovascular health are biologically about six years younger.
According to the study reported by the British newspaper The Guardian:
In addition to healthy sleep, diet, regular exercise, and not smoking, keeping weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure under control can slow the aging process by approximately 6 years.
