The new president of the Turkish Medical Association has been determined
Following the 76th Grand Congress of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), Prof. Dr. Alpay Azap has become the new president.
According to the statement made by the TTB, the Central Council elected at the 76th Grand Congress held on June 28-30 has distributed its duties.
The distribution of duties for the 2024-2026 term Central Council is as follows:
“President Alpay Azap, 2nd President Mualla Pınar Saip, General Secretary Hilmi Önder Okay, Treasurer Member Ali Karakoç, Accountant Member Nilüfer Ustael, members Ali Osman Karababa, Mehmet Şerif Demir, Murat Erkan, Güzide Elitez, Ali Kanatlı, Ayşegül Ateş Tarla.”
WHO IS ALPAY AZAP?
Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialist Prof. Dr. Alpay Azap serves as a faculty member in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.
Azap, who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, also served as a member of the Ministry of Health Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board during the COVID-19 pandemic.
