TTB Central Council visits Anıtkabir on March 14 Medicine Day

A delegation including TTB Central Council President Dr. Alpay Azap, 2nd President Dr. Pınar Saip, General Secretary Dr. Önder Okay, and Central Council members Dr. Nilüfer Ustael, Dr. Murat Erkan, Dr. Güzide Elitez, and Dr. Ali Osman Karababa, along with other physicians, visited Anıtkabir. TTB Central Council President Dr. Alpay Azap signed the Anıtkabir Special Book. 

'WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITHOUT COMPROMISING OUR VALUES'

Azap wrote the following in the book:

"Under your leadership, revolutionary steps were taken in the field of health with the establishment of our Republic. Thanks to policies that prioritized public health and our self-sacrificing colleagues, diseases such as trachoma, malaria, smallpox, and syphilis were eradicated. Today, we continue to follow that great vision, conducting studies that compete with the world in the light of scientific knowledge, and maintaining our duty to protect and improve public health. However, unfortunately, we are facing challenges that overshadow the sanctity of the medical profession. Violence, heavy working conditions, inadequacies in our personal rights, the devaluation of our profession, and disruptions in the health system make it difficult for us to work freely and safely. Despite this, drawing strength from your words, 'Those who set out never to rest will never get tired,' we continue to work with all our being, without compromising our ethical values. In the second century of our Republic, despite all the difficulties and darkness, we will continue to raise the light of reason, science, labor, and collective production, and work for the health and well-being of the beautiful people of our beautiful country. We bow before your cherished memory with respect, gratitude, and devotion."
