Çankırı Provincial Health Director Dr. Hüseyin Sarıkaya issued warnings to citizens regarding the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) virus, which is transmitted by ticks that emerge with warmer weather.

Addressing the symptoms of a tick bite, Dr. Sarıkaya said, "The most common symptoms of a tick bite are the weakening or disappearance of reflexes, and this condition usually manifests itself primarily as muscle weakness. Other symptoms include mild headache, fatigue, rashes on the body, nausea and vomiting, fever, swollen lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, neck stiffness, etc. When such signs are observed, one should go to the nearest health facility without losing time."
