Allegations of private jet and Umrah tour regarding Muhammed Yarız, who was arrested in the fund investigation

New allegations have surfaced regarding Pusula Portfolio Chairman of the Board Muhammed Yarız, who was arrested as part of a fund investigation. It is claimed that Yarız purchased a 19.5 million dollar Bombardier Global 5000 private jet and organized an Umrah tour with this jet, which bears the "Pusula" logo.

The background of the investigation lies in a memorandum sent by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to the Capital Markets Board (SPK) on August 19, 2026. It is stated that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested information from the SPK regarding unusual transactions believed to have been conducted through funds involving certain stocks traded on Borsa İstanbul.

It is alleged that the document concerning the "confidential" investigation was leaked to Pusula Finance Holding, and following this development, Pusula Finance Holding Chairman of the Board Serdar Turhan and Muhammed Yarız transferred funds abroad.

It was reported that Yarız gave a statement as a suspect on July 14, and a travel ban was issued against him on September 2. While Yarız's lawyer argued that the notification reached them on September 5-6, journalist İsmail Saymaz wrote that Yarız traveled to Greece from Marmaris on his yacht on September 2 or in the following days, and later returned to Turkey.

The report also included information that the 14.5 million dollar luxury yacht named "Loretta," which Yarız allegedly used while traveling abroad, is one of only 15 in the world.

According to the report by Bala Ateş Irmak from Sözcü, in addition to his luxury yacht, Yarız also owns a Bombardier Global 5000 private jet, which is stated to have been purchased for 19.5 million dollars. It was noted that the aircraft was removed from the Isle of Man registry on November 3, 2025, and received the TC-YRZ registration in Turkey.

According to the allegation, retired preacher Cemal Vanlıoğlu and Esat Palazoğlu, the son-in-law of Cübbeli Ahmet, participated in the first Umrah journey made with the jet bearing the Pusula logo.
