CHP District Chair Doruk Bulut has been detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the municipality.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Silivri District Chair Doruk Bulut has been detained.
It was reported that Bulut was detained as part of an investigation launched into the Silivri Municipality over corruption allegations.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that security forces conducted a search at Bulut's address. The statement indicated that Bulut will be referred to the Silivri Courthouse tomorrow.
SILIVRI MAYOR HAD BEEN ARRESTED
An investigation was launched into the Silivri Municipality in June over corruption allegations.
Within the scope of the investigation, 10 people, including Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, had been arrested.
It was alleged that in the operation targeting the municipality, there were irregularities in processes such as personnel recruitment, business transfers and leasing, zoning, licensing, sealing, illegal construction, and asset acquisition, as well as the sale of municipal real estate, which were used to secure certain business transactions.
