Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Ahmet Şahin referred to court with a request for arrest!

A new development has occurred within the scope of the comprehensive corruption and criminal organization investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and Büyükçekmece Municipality.

The investigation, which was launched in connection with a criminal organization allegedly led by a person named Aziz İhsan Aktaş, has extended to CHP-run municipalities. In line with the evidence obtained, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has taken the statements of many individuals.

DEPUTY MAYOR IN COURT WITH ARREST REQUEST

Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Ahmet Şahin, who was detained as part of the investigation, was referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest following the prosecutor's office procedures.

In addition to Şahin, the statement procedures for his driver, Sonkan Turan, and his lawyer, Onur Büyükhatipoğlu, are also continuing at the prosecutor's office. Those whose statement processes have been completed are expected to be brought before a judge in the coming hours.

ARREST REQUEST FOR 6 SUSPECTS

The prosecutor's office has requested the arrest of a total of 6 suspects, including Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, who is also mentioned in the same investigation.
