Change of counsel in the Minguzzi case: Ersan Barkın takes over
In the Ahmet Minguzzi murder trial, Ersan Barkın has been appointed as the new lawyer following the arrest of attorney Rezzan Epözdemir.
A significant development has occurred in the case of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death in Kadıköy.
The case's lawyer, Rezzan Epözdemir, was arrested on August 14 on charges of "mediating bribery." This situation changed the course of the trial and necessitated the appointment of a new lawyer.
Ersan Barkın, known as the lawyer for Sedat Peker, has taken on the representation of the Minguzzi family.
In a statement made via social media, Barkın said, "With gratitude to the Minguzzi family, who are fighting for our future in the name of our beautiful child, Mattia Ahmet..."
It was alleged that Sedat Peker had been supporting the Minguzzi family through his lawyer since the very first days.
This support has now become a concrete step with Barkın taking over the case.
