Compensation ruling in Metin Akpınar case
A notable ruling has been issued by the court in the compensation lawsuit between veteran actor Metin Akpınar and Duygu Nebioğlu, who was determined to be his biological daughter.
The long-running non-pecuniary damages lawsuit between Metin Akpınar and Duygu Nebioğlu has concluded. The court ruled that the famous artist must pay 6 million TL in non-pecuniary damages to his daughter, Duygu Nebioğlu, who was born out of wedlock.
It had been legally established through a DNA test that Akpınar is the biological father of Duygu Nebioğlu and her sister, Sevgi. Following this, the court ruled in favor of Nebioğlu in the subsequent non-pecuniary damages lawsuit.
The court panel will announce its reasoned decision in the coming days. It is not yet clear whether the parties will appeal the decision to a higher court in the later stages of the process.
The case file, which has been on the agenda for many years, has moved to a new stage with this high amount of compensation awarded.
