Constitutional Court member shares 'ant-elephant' message: 'If it is big, we are big too'
As reactions continue over the Court of Cassation's refusal to comply with the Constitutional Court's (AYM) second ruling of rights violation regarding Can Atalay, AYM member Kenan Yaşar shared an 'ant-elephant' story on his social media account.
The Court of Cassation has refused to recognize the second rights violation ruling issued by the Constitutional Court (AYM) for TIP MP Can Atalay.
Reactions from politicians, NGOs, and citizens regarding the issue continue.
Most recently, AYM member Kenan Yaşar made a post on X.
"IF IT IS BIG, WE ARE BIG TOO..."
Yaşar stated the following:
“Ants are very jealous of the elephant. They would say, ‘If it is alive, we are alive too; if it is big, we are big too.’ One day, as the elephant was passing by, they all jumped onto the elephant's back. The elephant shook itself, they all fell to the ground, and only one remained. The ants on the ground started chanting for the ant on the elephant's back: -Crush it! Crush it!”
‘PRISONERS ARE JUDGING, JUDGES ARE NOW THE PRISONERS’
Following the Court of Cassation's comment that the AYM's Can Atalay ruling had 'no legal value,' Yaşar had shared the following lines by Nurullah Genç the previous day:
“Blood fell on the whitest point of the map. The sword of justice broke; the shield fell. Prisoners are judging; judges are now the prisoners. It is as if a volcano fell on the foundation of rights.”
