In the Bornova district of İzmir, B.L. and his ex-wife S.T., who were reported to have been fugitives for 9 years with finalized prison sentences for "fraud," were caught in a police operation.
Teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Security Branch and Intelligence Branch conducted an operation to apprehend wanted individuals. Following technical and physical surveillance, an operation was carried out at an address identified in Bornova.
During the operation, B.L. and S.T., who were wanted under the same case file for 32 separate counts of "fraud" and faced 28 years, 7 months, and 10 days of imprisonment each, along with administrative fines of 97 thousand TL each, were taken into custody at the house where they were hiding.
It was reported that the two individuals, whose procedures at the police station were completed, have been handed over to judicial authorities.
