Details of the new execution regulation

With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, the execution law, known in the public eye as the "10th Judicial Package," has entered into force.

This regulation includes a re-evaluation of monetary limits in appellate and supreme court processes.

Furthermore, it provides for increased prison sentences for crimes such as attempted crime and intentional injury. For example, the sentence for the crime of intentional injury can go up to 6 years depending on the victim's condition.

The regulation also introduces heavier penalties for those who endanger traffic safety. The lower limit of the prison sentence to be given to those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs has been raised to 6 months.

LEGAL CHANGES

With the amendments made to the Notary Law, disciplinary penalties for notaries have been reorganized. Disciplinary penalties include options such as warning, reprimand, and expulsion from the profession.

Additionally, in line with the decisions of the Constitutional Court, changes have also been made to the Administrative Procedure Law.

With the regulations regarding the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, it is ensured that those elected to Council membership from high court membership return to their former positions at the end of their terms. These regulations aim to create a more effective and fair structure in the legal system.

Finally, the regulation on open penal execution institutions has also been amended, and the conditions for benefiting from probation have been redefined.
