Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu calls on the Ministry of Justice for release
Regarding the detention of presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri, his wife, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, addressed the Ministry of Justice via social media, reiterating her call for the release of her relatives and other detainees.
As Ekrem İmamoğlu’s detention continues, his wife, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, made a notable statement on her personal social media account. In her statement addressed to the Ministry of Justice, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu stated that many people, including her family members, are being held in prison despite there being no evidence against them, and called on authorities for their release.
Using the phrase “As families, we demand immediate release!” in her post, İmamoğlu requested that the requirements of the law be fulfilled. She noted the following in her message:
"AS FAMILIES, WE DEMAND IMMEDIATE RELEASE!
For those you have detained without evidence; for my brothers Cevat Kaya and Ali Kaya, for Ekrem İmamoğlu and his companions, for Ekrem İmamoğlu’s childhood friend, for sick prisoners, let the requirements of the law be fulfilled!
Let the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court be implemented. Justice does not delay. Justice cannot be postponed."
