New details have emerged regarding the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Gülşah Oktay by her ex-husband, Aydın Yediparmak, in the Arsin district of Trabzon. It was reported that Oktay, a mother of one, had found her ex-husband semi-conscious 14 days before the murder and called the 112 Emergency Call Center to ensure he was taken to the hospital.
It was reported that Gülşah Oktay and 51-year-old Aydın Yediparmak were married on July 6, 2025, that their child was born on July 30, 2026, and that they divorced on September 18, 2026. Following the divorce, it was learned that Oktay had moved into her mother's house.

According to allegations, four days after the divorce, Yediparmak's son from his first marriage could not reach his father and called Gülşah Oktay. Upon this, Oktay went to her ex-husband's house and found Yediparmak semi-conscious. Following Oktay's report, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that Yediparmak, who was taken to the hospital, had ingested medication. It was noted that Yediparmak, who stated in his testimony that he took the medication due to financial difficulties, explained that the medicine boxes were found in the trash and that he did not file a complaint against anyone.
ARMED ATTACK ON THE STREET
It was reported that on the day of the murder, Gülşah Oktay got into her ex-husband's vehicle, and after the pair drove around for a while, they arrived in front of the house in Yeşilce Neighborhood. It was alleged that an argument broke out there over debt and money issues.

As the argument escalated, it was stated that Yediparmak fired at Oktay with his licensed firearm and chased the woman for approximately 20 meters as she tried to escape by getting out of the vehicle. Gülşah Oktay, who was struck by 7 bullets, lost her life at the hospital where she was taken.
Yediparmak, who reportedly left the weapon at the scene and entered his house after the attack, was detained by police teams. It was alleged that Yediparmak, who was learned to be a retired specialist sergeant, retired in 2022 and had previous criminal records.

It was reported that Yediparmak said in his testimony that he had lost money in the stock market and had a debt of 1.5 million lira. Claiming that they had divorced to avoid being affected by enforcement proceedings, Yediparmak explained that the argument on the day of the incident grew over a request for borrowed money.
It was learned that the suspect said, "The incident developed in the moment. I am regretful." Aydın Yediparmak, who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court on charges of "intentional killing."
