He was a so-called leader of Hezbollah: Removed from the wanted list

Kemal Sanli, who was considered among the so-called high-level leaders of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, has been removed from the Ministry of Interior's wanted terrorists list.

Sanli, for whom three separate indictments were prepared by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was alleged to have held a position at the "ulema" level within the organization. Sanli was accused of giving orders for the murders of Selahattin Turan on October 7, 1998, Şeyhmus Filiz on December 20, 1998, and Ahmet Gümüş and Halit Kaya on November 25, 1999.

According to the report by Özgür Cebe from Nefes, Sanli could not be captured and brought before a judge for years. The cases against him were dropped on the grounds that the 20-year statute of limitations for the crimes had expired.

Following the dismissal of the cases, Sanli's record on the wanted terrorists list was also deleted. Sanli was in the Orange category, which offered an 8 million lira reward for information leading to his capture.
