Hidden camera investigation at a beauty center in Bakırköy: Allegations of 14 thousand videos
Three suspects have been detained in Bakırköy following allegations that customers at a beauty center were secretly recorded and the footage was shared on paid platforms.
In an investigation conducted into a beauty and epilation center in Bakırköy, Istanbul, it was alleged that footage of customers was secretly recorded and shared on online platforms for a fee.
Teams from the Bakırköy District Police Department launched an investigation following a tip-off that customers at the business were being recorded with hidden cameras. Examinations revealed that the footage was taken without permission and distributed via social media platforms in exchange for money.

During the operation conducted at the address, a total of 7 devices, 1 of which was active and 6 of which were dismantled, believed to have been used as a hidden camera system, along with numerous digital materials, were seized. Digital examinations determined that approximately 14 thousand videos belonging to customers were published on an online platform.
Three suspects were detained within the scope of the investigation. Judicial proceedings have been initiated against the suspects on charges of "violation of privacy," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "obscenity."
