25 more people have been arrested in the corruption investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Tension erupted when IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan was denied entry by security forces.
In the 4th wave of operations carried out as part of the corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 25 people, including KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt, were arrested.
Among those arrested were individuals including Altan Gözcü, Bülent Yılmaz, Murat Erenler, Nezahat Kurt, Ogün Soytekin, and Serpil Altıntaş.
IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan, who arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse before the court decisions were announced, was not allowed inside by security personnel.
"DON'T PUSH MY BUTTONS"
Aslan, who experienced tense moments with courthouse staff, struggled to control his temper and reacted sharply to the officials.
Aslan, who used the expressions, "Don't push my buttons. I'll burn this place down, I'll resign," was eventually granted entry, and the tension ended before it could escalate further.
