Indictment prepared in Bayrampaşa Municipality investigation
The indictment has been completed in the investigation concerning Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu, who has been in custody for 10 months, and 77 others.
Following the investigation covering the Bayrampaşa Municipality in Istanbul, an indictment has been filed against a total of 78 people, including Mayor Hasan Mutlu and various public officials.
At the end of an investigation lasting approximately 350 days, the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was submitted to the court.
In the case file, a public institution is listed as a 'victim of the crime,' while it is also noted that there are 20 complainants, 11 victims, and 3 complainant-suspects. The indictment contains numerous criminal charges against the suspects.
The charges listed include bribery, embezzlement, extortion, bid rigging, defrauding a public institution, money laundering, forgery of official documents, causing zoning pollution, and establishing or being a member of a criminal organization for profit.
It was reported that the name of Hasan Mutlu, who has been detained in Silivri Prison for 10 months, is also on the list of suspects.
