Individual who insulted Atatürk on social media arrested
O.A., who shared a video containing insults against Atatürk on their social media account, was detained by the police. O.A. was referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested by the court.
An investigation was launched by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into O.A., who insulted Atatürk during a live broadcast on a social media platform.
Acting upon the prosecutor's detention order, the police took the suspect into custody 2 days ago. After completing the statement procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse yesterday. O.A., who was brought before the court with a request for arrest by the prosecutor's office, was arrested.
