Jewelry store robbery in Bursa: 1.5 million TL worth of gold stolen
Two masked individuals robbed a jewelry store in Selçukbey, Bursa. The armed robbers stole approximately 1.5 million TL worth of gold from the shop.
The shop owner, Mahmut Mailoğlu, was subjected to an armed attack by two people half an hour after opening his store. According to Mailoğlu's statement, the attackers, who wore masks and gloves, stole approximately 1.5 million TL worth of gold from the shop.
After leaving the shop, the attackers fired two shots into the air, got into a vehicle parked on the street, and fled. Following a complaint by the shop owner, Mailoğlu, an investigation was launched by the Robbery Bureau. During the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle used in the incident had been rented by the suspect Ö.A. on March 7. According to the information obtained, the suspect Ö.A., identified by the Robbery Bureau, and the other suspect E.Ç., who was with him during the incident, were apprehended as a result of camera and field operations, along with the masks used in the incident, fake license plates, two 7.65 caliber pistols, one box of ammunition for these pistols, and the stolen gold.
The suspects will be brought before a judge in accordance with the instructions received from the duty public prosecutor.
