Legal existence of 3 parties ended by Constitutional Court ruling, assets transferred to the Treasury
By the decision of the Constitutional Court, the legal existence of the Uyanış Partisi, Türkiye Yaşam Partisi, and Yeni Yol Partisi has ended. Furthermore, all their assets have been transferred to the Treasury.
According to the decisions published in today's issue of the Official Gazette, the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation applied to the Constitutional Court to terminate the legal existence of the parties in question on the grounds that they failed to hold their first grand congresses and failed to form their mandatory bodies.
Reviewing the applications, the High Court ruled that the Uyanış Partisi, Türkiye Yaşam Partisi, and Yeni Yol Partisi are considered dissolved and their legal existence has ended.
The court decided that, in accordance with the Law on Political Parties No. 2820, all assets of the aforementioned parties shall be transferred to the Treasury, and that copies of the decision be sent to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation for the necessary actions to be taken.
