The investigation was launched following the concert the group gave at Küçükçiftlik Park on Saturday, September 6.

In the prosecutor's statement, it was alleged that the group's dances and performances during the concert contained acts that "constitute an attack on feelings of decency, chastity, shame, and modesty, and on moral customs."

The prosecutor's office had claimed that these actions negatively affected children and young people.

The concert on September 6 was the first concert with an 18+ age restriction since the group began performing in February.

In a post made on Manifest's social media account, it was announced that all tickets for the September 6 concert were sold out, with 12 thousand spectators in attendance.

Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral used a censored photo of the group in a post he made about them on September 7 and stated:

"These immoral, indecent, shameless, demon-looking creatures called the Manifest group must be prosecuted in a way that ensures they can never engage in this exhibitionism again."
