Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu case adjourned to November 5

The case concerning the 2009 helicopter crash that claimed the life of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, the founding leader of the Great Unity Party (BBP), was heard at the Kahramanmaraş 2nd High Criminal Court. During the hearing, the trial of 19 individuals accused of influencing the investigation—including FETÖ leader Fetullah Gülen and other organization executives—was adjourned to November 5, pending the outcome of the main investigation file.

The hearing was attended by non-detained defendant Mehmet Yaşar Durukan, Yazıcıoğlu's son Furkan Yazıcıoğlu, his brother Yusuf Yazıcıoğlu, and the lawyers for the parties involved.

Other defendants connected to the hearing via the SEGBİS video conferencing system. In his defense, Mehmet Yaşar Durukan denied the accusations, stating, "Two separate websites in America and Canada published the entire indictment. This is very bad in terms of making people targets. I will file a criminal complaint." Other defendants similarly denied the charges.

THE LEGAL PROCESS CONTINUES

The court panel decided to await the results of the investigation conducted by the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crash that occurred on March 25, 2009, which resulted in the deaths of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and those accompanying him. Consequently, the case was adjourned to November 5.
