Murat Çalık celebrates his son's birthday from the hospital

Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, who is currently detained and receiving treatment at İzmir City Hospital, celebrated his son Murathan's birthday via social media.

In his post, Çalık expressed his love and longing for his son.

In his message, Çalık stated, "Today is July 25, my dear son Murathan's birthday. For the first time, I cannot be by your side on this special day. Even though I cannot see you, your presence gives me strength."

He also added his well wishes for his son, saying, "I hope that no evil finds you, and may your path always be bright."

ÇALIK'S HEALTH STATUS AND LEGAL PROCESS

Having previously overcome leukemia and lymphoma, Çalık was arrested as part of an IMM investigation.

During his time in prison, Çalık lost 21 kilograms, and his health condition became serious.

Hospital reports indicated that Çalık is at risk of a cancer recurrence and recommended his release. However, the Council of Forensic Medicine did not agree with this recommendation.

Most recently, it was decided that a bone marrow sample, which is a painful procedure, would be taken from Çalık, who has been hospitalized in İzmir.

Çalık's health status and legal process are being closely followed by the public.
