New development in Ahbap investigation: CHP figure also detained
Detention orders were issued for 9 people in the investigation into the Ahbap Association; 7 people were detained, while 2 are being sought.
Detention orders were issued for 9 suspects as part of the investigation being conducted into the Ahbap Association. It was reported that 7 people were detained in line with the decision.
Among those detained was Emre Kartaloğlu, a member of the CHP Party Assembly and Head of the Trade and Policy Board of the Presidential Candidate Office. It was learned that Kartaloğlu’s procedures at the police department are continuing.
As part of the investigation, it was reported that, in addition to Emre Kartaloğlu, Oğuzhan Uğur, Gülgün Öztürk, Suzan Düşküner, Emir Taşar, Hüseyin Küçük and Fatih Eke were detained.
Emre Kartaloğlu was also said to be the former President of the Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants and Sworn-in Certified Public Accountants of Turkey (TÜRMOB).
It was noted that efforts are continuing to apprehend 2 suspects for whom detention orders have been issued. Meanwhile, it was learned that a report had been issued stating that there were no irregularities regarding AHBAP’s accounts for the period of February 6-28, 2023.
