A new development has occurred in the investigation into the traffic accident in which Üsküdar Deputy Mayor Dündar Ziya Gültekin lost his life.
Muharrem Kiremitçi, who was identified as Gültekin's official driver, was arrested on charges of "causing death by negligence."
Gültekin had been involved in a traffic accident while traveling to Ankara to attend the Union of Municipalities of Turkey elections. Gültekin lost his life in the accident, and 4 other people were injured.
According to the social media account Düzceli Muhabir, Kiremitçi, who reportedly had been working at the Üsküdar Municipality for approximately 8 years, was sent to Çilimli Prison in Düzce following his arrest.
