New development in the Kaşif Kozinoğlu case: Transferred to the Unsolved Crimes unit

A new phase has been reached in the investigation file regarding the death of former MİT Head of External Operations Kaşif Kozinoğlu in prison. It has been learned that the file has been sent to the "Unsolved Crimes" unit for re-evaluation.

Kozinoğlu passed away after falling ill while he was being held in Silivri Prison on November 12, 2011. During the investigation process previously conducted regarding his death, assessments had been made that the incident occurred due to natural causes.

It was stated that following examinations conducted on the file, which has come back to the agenda years later, the investigation has been referred to the relevant department. At this stage, it was stated that in addition to the information and documents regarding the death, any new evidence, if available, will also be evaluated.

With the reopening of the investigation, the aim is to research the death that occurred in prison in all its aspects and to uncover whether there is any element of crime involved in the incident.
