New move from X's lawyer regarding İmamoğlu: Lawsuit filed
Lawyer Gönenç Gürkaynak has filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court against the access ban imposed on Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account.
An access ban had been imposed on the X account of CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu while he was being held in custody in Silivri.
Following this development, İmamoğlu's new account was announced by CHP officials as the 'Presidential Candidate Office'.
X's lawyer, Gönenç Gürkaynak, announced that he has taken action against this access ban and applied to the Constitutional Court.
Gürkaynak stated, "Today, I filed a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court on behalf of my client, the company X, against the court decision that blocks access to Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account.
Along with other developments today, the Constitutional Court will have the opportunity to examine some important files regarding fundamental rights and freedoms."
