Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar Grubu opens its campaign office

As the Istanbul Bar Association presidential elections, scheduled for October 19-20, 2024, approach, election preparations are gaining momentum. In this context, the Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar Grubu held the opening of its new campaign office.

Former Istanbul Bar Association presidents, Attorney Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocasakal and Attorney Mehmet Durakoğlu, attended the opening to express their support for the group's presidential candidate, Attorney Ali Gürbüz.

Many lawyers attended the event.

The opening ribbon was cut by Attorney Ali Gürbüz, Attorney Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocasakal, and Attorney Mehmet Durakoğlu. In the opening speeches, the emphasis was on "unity," and both Durakoğlu and Kocasakal stated that they fully support the new presidential candidate.

Attorney Ali Gürbüz stated the following in his opening speech:

“The opening of this campaign office is an indication of how we will manage the Bar Association. We want to manage it with collective wisdom. We will be here every day. We invite all our colleagues here. We want to exchange ideas, talk, and consult with them. They are our source of strength. We will be at the courthouse, we will be at the police station, but most of all, we will be by the side of the lawyers. We want to manage the Bar Association, not just the Bar building.”

Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar Grubu Istanbul Bar Association Presidential Candidate Attorney Ali Gürbüz was born in 1974 in İskenderun, Hatay. Married and a father of two, Gürbüz previously served one term as a member of the disciplinary board and three terms as a member of the Istanbul Bar Association board of directors. Currently serving as the Vice President of the Istanbul Bar Association, Gürbüz has taken his place among the presidential candidates for the new term.
