Person who hung mannequin from pedestrian bridge in Nazilli detained
Legal proceedings have been initiated against A.Y., who is accused of hanging a human mannequin featuring insulting text from a pedestrian bridge in the Nazilli district of Aydın.
In the Nazilli district of Aydın, police teams launched an investigation after a human mannequin dressed in clothing was hung from a pedestrian bridge. It was stated that the mannequin bore text containing insults directed at President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It was learned that the incident occurred on August 26, 2026. As a result of the work carried out by the Security Bureau of the Nazilli District Police Department, A.Y., who was identified as the person who carried out the act, was apprehended in the Altıntaş neighborhood.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the detained A.Y. on charges of "insulting the President" and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility."
